It's cold but sunny, dry but hoping for rain, rain, rain.

  In Cottonwood, we've been having fun, we had a full house on Sunday for Sit and Sew, boy was that a fun day, Thank You to those who came out to have a great day of sewing... I finished a quilt top and started a medallion center for our new Block of the Month, from the Book Praire Encore by Jo Morton, it's so pretty granted I only basted the center now it's time to applique but that's the fun part... Then I got blocks done for a new simple quilt called Tossed Nine Patch by Quilt in a day, that was fast,,, I'm using the new line Papillion by Moda,, I actually got the blocks up on the back wall of the classroom to see how I like the rows,,, come on down and see this vintage soft floral designed by 3 Sisters Moda,,,,very spring like...

Next is Folsom,,, yeah , if you haven't been yet it's a very nice show. Great Quilters down there.. alot of talent.. and yours truly was honored to be asked to quilt this years Opportunity Quilt... so that'll be on display as well.. very pretty ..  Our booth will be featuring new Projects with new patterns and new fabrics, I've been alittle busy, so come on down for the day with a gal pal have a nice lunch in their deli  and enjoy some very nice quilts,, they do a great job with their show.. See you there. Show days are Thursday Night,and  Friday thru Sunday....

This week at the shop , we have a full Valdani cabinet... Yeah.... boy that was a job to get that puppy full... but the cabinet is brimming with new colors and old colors so take a look at your stash and  see what colors you need to replace and ones you might like to add... 

We have a beautiful spring apron on display, in the pattern "Flirty Skirty" thanks to our best apron maker Chris, it's done up  in Carolina's Collection very sweet,,, This pattern is on Back order but reserve yours now they'll be in any day ...Leave your name and number at the counter and we'll reserve your pattern and give you a call when they get in...

Jo' Morton's Room is brimming with new Fabrics,,, so full I can't get everything into the cabinet's so get down here and check out  our the new stuff. 

On display now, is the Quilt called "Stitched By Me" Linda got her little finger's working and  finished her Block of the Month early, Nice Job,,, we do have 3 remaining kits available you can purchase them as a whole or you can receive them monthly , with a deposit, we can even ship to you monthly just call the shop.  This quilt is very personal, in the construction with Monogram's and Stitchery with dating and,   alot of different things to look at and some beautifully wool in the applique, Designer Lynnette Anderson from Austraila provided this wonderful pattern full of handcarved wooden buttons and little details that will keep you interested for a long time.

  Fabric choosen for this quilt is from the new fabric line from Red Rooster called "Button's and Bloom", very nice collection. we do have that collection on the bolt in the shop  now.. with a great book and panel to go with,,, come and see some of the projects we've been working so hard on, a tote Bag,  "Ollie" the Owl, a great Table runner and the "Button Quilt",made up from the panel, what fun this project book was.
